Introduction: Aditya-L1 is a coronagraphy spacecraft. Aditya-L1 is the first Indian space mission to study the Sun. It has been designed and developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation. It is also the first Indian mission to be established at Lagrange point L1. The primary objective of Aditya-L1 is to study the Sun, especially its outermost layer, the solar corona, and the impact of solar activities on Earth's climate.

Launch: Aditya-L1 was launched at 11:50 am on 2 September 2023 by a PSLV-C57 rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. It will be installed at a place called Lagrange Point 1 (L1), about 15 lakh km away from the Earth.
Objectives of Aditya-L1 Mission:
1. Study of the solar corona: The mission aims to understand the dynamics of the solar corona, the outermost layer of the Sun's atmosphere. It will study the corona's temperature, magnetic field and various phenomena such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections.
2. Investigation of solar activities: Aditya-L1 will monitor and study various solar activities, including solar flares, which can have significant impacts on Earth's space environment and communication systems.
3. Space weather forecasting: Data collected by Aditya-L1 will be important for improving space weather forecasting, which is essential for satellite and communication system operations and the safety of astronauts during space travel.
4. Impact on Climate: The mission also aims to understand the Sun's impact on Earth's climate and weather patterns, as solar variations can affect Earth's atmosphere.
