Meri Mati Mera Desh Campaign

Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign has been started by the Government of India. This campaign has been done as the closing program of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark the completion of 75 years of Indian Independence. This campaign will be run from August 9 to August 15. The main objective of this campaign is to honor and pay tribute to the brave martyrs, freedom fighters and brave women during the Indian freedom struggle.

Under the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign, soil will be collected in 7500 urns from different parts of the country and brought to the country's capital Delhi, which will be used to develop a garden named "Amrit Vatika" on the banks of the Kartavya Path in Delhi. This Amrit Vatika will be a symbol of the country's strength.

A Shilaphalakam (memorial plaque) will also be set up by the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign, on which the names of those who made the supreme sacrifice will be inscribed. The names of freedom fighters, security personnel, Central Armed Police Forces and State Police personnel who laid down their lives for the service of the country in the line of duty will be inscribed in this memorial.

Vasudha Bandhan program will also be organized in Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign, in which 75 saplings of indigenous species will be planted in each gram panchayat or village. The responsibility of this program has been entrusted to the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in the states. Programs of Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign have been planned from Gram Panchayat to State and National level.

Under the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign, tree plantation, slogan writing, painting and many cultural programs will also be organized in the schools, the aim of which is to create a sense of patriotism and love for the motherland among the students. The campaign is a slogan aimed at awakening the spirit of patriotism and undying love for the motherland in every citizen of India.
