Introduction: Chandrayaan-3 is a lunar mission under the Chandrayaan program of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). It consists of a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan. The objective of the Chandrayaan-3 mission is to collect information about the moon. The estimated cost of Chandrayaan-3 is around ₹615 crores.

Launch: Chandrayaan-3 was launched on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 02:35 pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Chandrayaan-3 entered the Moon's orbit on 5 August. Chandrayaan-3 landed in the South Pole region of the Moon on 23 August 2023 at 06:04 pm Indian time.

Objective of Chandrayaan-3 Mission:
1. Safe and soft landing of the lander on the surface of the moon.
2. Observation and demonstration of the rover's driving capabilities on the Moon.
3. Understanding the structure of the moon, experimenting and observing it.
4. Giving information about the amount of water and ice on the moon.

Achievement: India's Chandrayaan-3 became the fourth country to land on the lunar surface and India became the first country to land on the south pole of the Moon. All the credit for this mission goes to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
