Father's Day

Introduction: Father's Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June as a symbol of respect and love for the father. Father's Day is celebrated in almost all countries of the world. It is also celebrated in the memory and honor of our ancestors. For every child, his father is the real form of God on earth. For a child his father is the biggest role model/ideal.

History: First Father's Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910 in Fairmont, West Virginia. This special day was organized by Mrs. Grace Golden Clayton in honor of the 210 fathers who died in a mine accident in West Virginia on 6 December 1907. Father's Day was celebrated earlier but it got official recognition in 1972 when US President Richard Nixon signed this law. After the signature of the President, this day started being celebrated all over the world.

Importance of Father: A father always works hard for the betterment of his family. Father gives dedicated his entire life to the education of their children and family maintenance. Even if they had to face thousands of difficulties in earning. A father also takes a loan from someone for the education of his children so that his child’s education is not obstructed. A father is a person who gives up his aspirations and tries everything for his child. Every father wants the progress of his child. Father is the only person in the world who wants to see his child more successful than himself. Every child is the apple of his father's eyes.

How Father's Day is celebrated: On Father's Day, children greet their father by touching their feet or hugging them and on this day children also celebrate Father's Day by giving gifts to their father.
